In the 1st match of Super four round in Asia Cup, Bangladesh put a brilliant performance with the bat and set a target of 284 runs for 6 wickets against Indiaat National Stadium, Karachi, on Saturday, 28th June, 2008.
For Bangladesh Alok Kapali hit a superb century 115 runs off 96 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes well supported by Tamim Iqbal made 55 runs.

In a thrilling 5th match of Asia Cup, India successfully chased 300 runs in 42.1 runs against arch rivals Pakistan at National Stadium, Karachi on Thursday, 26th June, 2008. Sehwag and Raina put 198 runs for the 2nd wickets as India reached the target with six wickets and 47 balls to spare.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first made 299 runs in 50 overs, thanks to brilliant batting by captain Shoaib Malik and Younus Khan, scored 125 runs off 119 balls with 16 fours and 1 six, 59 runs respectively.

In reply India made quickest chase while facing a target of 300 runs. Sehwag and Raina chased brilliantly with 198 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Sehwag scored 119 runs in just 95 balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes and Raina contributed 84 runs 0ff 69 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes.

Australia won the 3 test match series by 2-0 after winning the 3rd test against West Indies by 87 runs on the 5th day at at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, on Monday, 16th June 2008.

Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul threatened a record fourth-innings chase, but important breakthroughs to Casson and Stuart Clark exposed West Indies' tail and Australia wrapped up the triumph 20 minutes before tea when Daren Powell flashed a catch behind off Brett Lee.

West Indies started the day needing 240 more runs to make the highest successful Test chase in history, 475, and the explosive 122-run stand between Bravo and Chanderpaul gave them hope.

Australia won the 3 match series by 2-0 after winning the 1st test by 95 runs at Jamaica as the 2nd test match drawn at Antigua. However West Indies has given a good fight to world Champion Australia.

Pakistan beat bitter arch rivals India by 25 runs in a thrilling final of Kitply Cup Triseries, on Saturday, 14th June, 2008, at at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. Pakistan batted first, scored 315 runs and bowled out India on 290 runs in 48.2 overs.

For Pakistan, Younus Khan struck a majestic 108 off just 99 deliveries and Salman Butt added 129 before he was forced to retire hurt as Pakistan piled on 315 for three after winning the toss.

India battled back with half centuries from skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh, but fine bowling from Umar Gul at the death saw Pakistan home.

India lost opener Virender Sehwag early and thereafter lost wickets at regular intervals to be bowled out for 290 in 48.2 overs.

Umar Gul claimed four wickets for 57 from nine overs to help Pakistan won the Kitply Cup.

Pakistan's batsman shown fine form when its matter most, in the Final of Kitply Cup against India, at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, on Saturday, 14th June 2008. Pakistan scored 315 runs for 3 wickets due to brilliant centuries by Salman Butt (129) and Younus Khan (108) runs.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and their batsman responded well to reach 315 runs in 50 overs. A third wicket partnership of 205 runs 0ff 189 balls between Salman Butt contributed 129 off 136 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes and Younus Khan, scored 108 runs off 99 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Misnah-ul-Haq chipped 33 runs off 21 balls in the end.

All Indian bowlers fell apart in the face of the onslaught, eight bowlers were tried but Pakistan made the most of the lack of a fifth specialist. Piyush Chawla came into this game on the back of a morale-boosting four-wicket haul but ended up having a harrowing time, finishing with the most expensive spell by an Indian spinner in an ODI with 85 runs in 10 overs.

India beat Pakistan by 140 runs in 2nd ODI of Kitply Cup


A fantastic opening partnership of 155 runs between Virendar Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, set up the Indian victory of 140 runs over arch rivals Pakistan in the 2nd day-night game of Kitply Cup Tri-Series, at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, on Tuesday, 10th June 2008.

India won the toss and elected to bat first, scored a huge total 330/8 in 50 overs, thanks to fine opening partnership, the second best for India against Pakistan , by Virendar Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Yuraj Singh contributed 89, 62 and 55 runs respectively.

In reply, Pakistan reduced to 26/3 in the start off the inning as Praveen Kumar took 4 starting wickets. Piyush Chawla also took 4 wickets, reduced Pakistan to 190 runs all out in 35.4 overs. Only captain Shoaib Mailk scored half century, with 53 runs.
